JARDEN HOME BRANDS “BALL AWARDS”

Jarden Home Brands, makers of Ball® and Kerr® FreshPreserving TM Products, is proud to recognize today’s fresh preserving (canning) enthusiasts.  First and Second Place Awards will be given to those individuals judged as the best in designated categories.

To qualify, entries must be preserved using Ball® or Kerr® or Collection Elite® jars, rings and flats.  Products requiring pectin must provide proof of purchase for Ball® pectin upon entry in the fair.  The two best entries submitted by an adult for each of (1) Fruit, (2) Vegetable, (3) Pickle, and (4) Soft Spread Categories that qualify will receive the “Ball Award” for that category.

First Place Adult winners in each of the 4 categories will receive:  Two $5 coupons for Ball® or Kerr® FreshPreserving TM Products and One $3 coupon for Ball® Simple Creations® Products.

Second Place Adult winners in each of the 4 categories will receive:  Two $5 coupons for Ball® or Kerr® FreshPreserving TM Products.

First Place Youth winners in each of the 4 categories will receive:  Two $5 coupons for Ball® or Kerr® FreshPreserving TM Products.

2018 WILTON FAIR AWARD GUIDELINES

Wilton Enterprises is pleased to help support the Fremont County Fair in the Decorated Cakes Division and Cupcake Division.  Wilton will provide one “Best of Class” (Grand Champion) award per category and one Runner-Up (Reserve Grand Champion) award per category per fair. Wilton “Best of Class” awards are offered for winning cakes and cupcakes with some type of bag and tip or rolled fondant cake decorating.  The following categories for the 2018 fair will be:

Decorated Cake Divisions
Adult Open Class
Junior Open Class
4-H Class

Cupcake Divisions
Adult Open Class
Junior Open Class
4-H Class

4-H SPECIAL AWARDS
Presented at Achievement Night

Ralph Taylor Award: Presented to an outstanding 4-H member who has given his or her time to help make the fair a success. Nominations can be made by submitting a letter of recommendation to the fair board.

Penny Johnston High Point Open Exhibitor: Presented to the open fair exhibitor who accumulated the highest number of points.

Herdsman Award: Presented to a club who keeps their livestock areas clean, and meet other criteria of friendliness and cooperation.

Fur & Feather Award: It will be awarded to the individual which best meets the herdsman standards. A committee will check the caging areas several times a day and base their decision on the herdsman standards.

4-H Outstanding Home Economics Award: Presented to the 4-H member who has accumulated the highest number of points in the home economics area.

Care and Kindness Award: Presented to an individual who has been outstanding in the care of their animals and shown courtesy towards others.

4-H Home Economics High Point Award: Includes points from the following projects: Foods, Food Preservation, Cake Decorating, Heritage Arts, Home Environment, Artistic Clothing, Clothing Construction and Child Development.
